We know the prospects of attending an in person conference may seem daunting. We will stay current on Center for Disease Control recommendations and update this page frequently. We also recommend checking with your local travel authorities, the hotels, etc. as the conference nears regarding public health mitigation efforts. The health and safety of ISAZ's conference attendees is our top priority. As has been the case throughout the pandemic, we expect the situation to change between now and July 2022. The ISAZ board will stay informed about all of these details and communicate with our members and attendees at every turn. We are cautiously optimistic we will be able to hold an in-person conference. We are fully aware that the viability of an in-person meeting is marked by the unpredictability and uncertainty that has characterized the COVID-19 context. Given this, we will continue to monitor COVID-related developments. To learn more about planning for the appropriate conference format, visit here. Throughout this process, we will consult with the board, our members, our sponsors, and other conference stakeholders to ensure that all concerns are considered.

Boise State University is committed to doing all it can as a university to minimize the spread of the virus and its traumatic consequences, and ISAZ will follow the guidelines that the university has in place. When will a decision be made regarding the final format of the conference?

We are cautiously optimistic for an in person conference, and we are planning accordingly. However, we also recognize that the situation with COVID is ever changing. As such, we remain prepared to pivot to an online conference again this year, should it become prudent to do so. Any changes to the conference format will be announced by April 1, 2022.
